Nov. 16, 2010 - HOLIDAY!

November 16, 2010 is a national non-working holiday as declared by President benigno "Pnoy" Aquino III.

What's with November 16 anyways? It's the celebration of Eid'l Adha or Eid al-Adha(wiki) which means Festival of Sacrifice. This is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide to commemorate the willingness of Abraham to sacrifice his son Ishmael as an act of obedience to God, but instead was able to sacrifice a ram(by God's command).

Some workers are happy because they'll be paid double.

While some are not happy about this because of the policy of their company of no work, no pay.

Students are for sure happy about this.

Anyway...Let's enjoy our holiday.

Happy Eid'l Adha everyone.
